Nurses at Parirenyatwa, Sally Mugabe and Chitungwiza Walk Off the Job
Nurses at three of Zimbabwe's largest public hospitals walked off the job this week, leaving wards unstaffed and patients without care. The Zimbabwe Nurses Association has issued the government a 48-hour ultimatum, and the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions has backed the strike fully. Their core grievance: a ZiG500 transport allowance worth roughly $15 a month while some nurses spend more than $6 on commuting each day.
