How we fix mistakes.

Accuracy is the foundation of everything we publish. When we get something wrong — a fact, a name, a figure, an attribution — we correct it as soon as it is verified, clearly and without spin.

How corrections are made

Factual errors in published articles are corrected in the text itself, with a note appended to the bottom of the article stating what was changed and when. Significant corrections that affect the substance of a story are also flagged at the top of the piece.

What we correct

We correct factual errors: incorrect names, dates, figures, quotes, and misattributed statements. Matters of interpretation, opinion or editorial judgement are not corrections in this sense, though we welcome feedback on them too.

Requesting a correction

If you believe something we published is factually incorrect, email info@thegranite.co.zw with the article link and a description of the error. An editor reviews every request.
