Bata Global CEO Meets President Mnangagwa at State House
By Simba Zimunya

Bata Group Global Chief Executive Officer, Mr Panagiotis Mytaros, paid a courtesy call on President Emmerson Mnangagwa at State House in Harare this morning, as the company and the Zimbabwean Government seek to strengthen their industrial partnership.

The meeting comes amid efforts to deepen cooperation between the international footwear manufacturer and Zimbabwe, with a focus on strengthening the country's industrial development agenda.

Strengthening Industrial Cooperation

The engagement highlights the importance of partnerships between government and established international companies in supporting local industry, investment and economic transformation.

Bata's engagement with the Zimbabwean leadership also comes against the backdrop of the country's broader development ambitions under Vision 2030, which seeks to transform Zimbabwe into an upper-middle-income economy.

Investment Details Yet to Be Announced

Further details on the discussions, including specific investment commitments, production plans or employment opportunities, were not provided in the announcement.
